I would like to start by saying thank you so much to the TVCCA Little Learners program especially the Bayonet Street site in New London, CT. This program has really aided in the development of all three of my children. Not only has the staff been wonderful to my children in their classrooms, but they have been an amazing assistance to myself as well. Being a single mother, raising three children can sometimes be a difficult task, but the staff at the Bayonet site were always there to help in any way they could. A very special thank you goes out to Jonathan for all their help and support that he gave me. Jonathan informed me on the resources that would have other wise gone unlooked and made it so that my children not only received quality care but affordable care as well.

I would like to personally thank each and every staff members of Connecticut Works for their assistance in helping me to get a job. They have helped me in so many ways that I wouldn't even know where to begin. I was discharged from the military in 2002. Connecticut Works paid for my CAN training and also paid for my uniforms in order for me to help support my family. They also paid my back taxes on my vehicle so I would have transportation to my job. I have since graduated from college with an Arts and Science degree and pursuing my register nursing degree this fall. I have lived in different states over the years, and Connecticut Works is the only employment agency that I have dealt with that is willing to go beyond any limitation to help their clients to get employment. I would like to say God bless the staff there and to keep up the good work.

I am writing to thank all of you for the kindness and generosity that you have given to me and my son Christopher. The assistance that I have received and still am receiving for almost a year now is truly, unbelievably grateful. There are no words to describe how thankful I am. I have received WIC coupons for food items for myself throughout the majority of my pregnancy and for my 8 month old, including juice, cheese, milk, eggs, cereal, etc. The program saved me the money to buy my baby clothes, learning toys, bottles, and blankets. I cannot thank you enough. I just wanted to take some time and express my feelings. Thank You!

The Head Start program exceeded my expectations with the amount of support, information, and tools provided for my child and family. I love the philosophy of getting the parents and family involved in every aspect of each child's education. Staff was always understanding and respectful. The teachers are wonderful. They took the time to teach the kids especially my son, and it shows through the progress I see. My son actually learned so much from ABC's to counting and most especially good manners and the values of being patient, sharing, and etc.

It's like a family. They're very caring, and they'll help you out with anything you need. They're waiting to take very good care of your kids.

It's great to watch him go from project to project and just all the different things that he has available to him that I wouldn't have at our home. Things like a house keeping area, the sensory table, the arts and crafts area, and everything they provide.

When he goes home, he talks to me and tells me, "Mom this is what I did at school. We're learning the alphabet". That makes me think that I'm leaving my son at a comfortable place.
