A valued resource for generations:

TVCCA has been serving the community since 1965. Our programs touch many lives. Our quality child care/early childhood development programs, Meals On Wheels, our home-based meal delivery program for seniors, employment programs, and energy assistance are just a few of the services we provide to those in need.

What we accomplished in our Child Development Program in 2007...

  • 1,163 children participated in our pre-school activities and demonstrated competency according to CT State benchmarks
  • 692 children ages 0-5, received daily, nutritious meals and snacks
  • 1,151 children obtained age-appropriate immunizations and medical care
  • 1,050 children obtained age-appropriate dental care
  • 36 children were diagnosed as needing special education/remedial
    services and received appropriate services
  • 672 parents obtained care for their children or other dependent, enabling them to acquire or maintain employment
  • 182 family members completed goals on their case management plan in order to move to self-sufficiency and economic stability
  • 25 families completed English as a Second Language classes in order to acquire employment
