Shelter Worker- Full time

Pay/Hours: 12.64 per hour/ 35 hours per week

Qualifications: BA Degree plus one year experience, or Associates Degree plusthree years related work experience, two of which wereadministrative and supervisory in nature or any combination ofpost secondary education and experience totaling 5 years.

Description: Supervision of homeless facility while providing support and· encouragement to homeless families in residence. Responsible for maintaining the safety ofthe shelter and residents during shift. Responsible for maintenance activities. Responsible formonitoring the entrance to the shelter, greeting residents and completing intake informationwhen necessary. Must be able to provide support and understanding to families in crisis.Responsible for record keeping for the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Must learn theResults Oriented Management Accountability (R.O.M.A.) and Human Services Infrastructure(H.S.I.) Systems. TVCCA operates under these two management principals and allemployees must understand and adopt them.

Per Diem Meals on Wheels Driver/Cafe Site Sev

Pay/Hours: 9.58/hr; Per Diem

Description: 2 Positions in Northeast and 2 positons in Southeast, CT. As a Meals on Wheels per diem driver: Deliver meals to homebound senior citizens on assigned route when needed. Assist at senior center with packing of meals. Return and clean coolers at end of route. As a per diem Cafe Site Server: Coordinate, prepare/serve lunch meal at assigned congregate nutrition meal site; heat Meals on Wheels lunch food for Meals on Wheels drivers to deliver, clean and wash equipment used in the preparation and serving of lunch; maintain a clean area; establish good rapport with senior center participants and volunteers; complete new registration and reservation paperwork;

Location: Northeast, CT

Temporary Recruiter/Developer

Pay/Hours: Starting minimum $12.64 hr/15 hrs

Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Management, Social Work of a related field, plus four years related experience--at least two of which were directly concentrated in volunteer recruitment; or a combination of related post-secondary education plus related work experience totaling a minimum eight (8) years.

Description: This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of a comprehensive departmental recruiting effort that includes the recruitment and placement of older volunteers with special needs children in stations throughout Eastern Connecticut; handling public relations initiatives; and developing a long-range marketing/development strategy.

Location: Southeastern Connecticut

TANF Case Manager

Pay/Hours: starting minimum $14.52/hr; 37.5 hrs/wk

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree plus three years related work experience, two of which were administrative and supervisory in nature and/or any combination of education and experience. Spanish speaking preferred. Knowledge of One Stop services, partners, and programs, assessment techniques, career planning resources, job development and the business community in Eastern Connecticut. Excellent customer service and communication skills, verbal and written. Strong Word Processing, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet applications skills required.

Description: This position works directly with One-Stop Customers. Responsibilities include; meeting contractual performance goals for the Temporary Aid to Needy Families (TANF) program. This individual must possess high energy and motivation to assist customers in meeting their employment goals. He/She should be a self-starter who can work independently, be well organized, able to multitask, and prioritize projects. The TANF case manager provides case management services to all active and time limited clients that are referred by Department of Social Services. Case management services include but are not limited to career assessment and guidance services, workshops, assessment of education and training needs, information and referrals, coordination of support services, job search skills assistance, coordination of job development referrals, and retention services.

Assistant Teacher

Pay/Hours: Starting minimum $10.99 30/hrs/wk 42- 52/wks/

Description: The Assistant Teacher is responsible for the care, supervision, and safety of center children. Assist staff in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum. Responsible for keeping classroom and playground clean, safe, and orderly. Must have compassion and understanding of needs of children and families from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds. Must learn, implement, and follow all program policies and procedures. Encourage self-esteem and independence for the social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of each child. Ensure that health, safety and nutritional education is integrated into the overall curriculum planning. Responsible for the program operations in the absence of the Teacher / Head Teacher.

Location: Montville

Assistant Teacher Infant/Toddler

Pay/Hours: Starting Minimum: $10.99/hr 35 hrs/week.

Qualifications: **Must send copies of transcripts with application/resume for Consideration.**12 credits in ECE and upon hire begin CDA process and maintain certification to remain qualified for position. Have access to reliable, insured transportation. Must have or obtain and maintain first-aid, CPR, and medication administration certification within six months of hire.

Responsible for keeping classroom and playground clean, safe, and orderly. Must have compassion and understanding of needs of children and families from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds. Must learn, implement, and follow all program policies and procedures. Responsible for the program operations in the absence of the Head Teacher.

Location: Positions in New London, Taftville & Groton

Assistant Director- Child Development

Pay/Hours: $769.30 week/35 hrs per week

Qualifications: Requires a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and at least five years of total related work experience, with two years in a supervisory capacity. Requires experience with budgeting and financial reporting, grant experience preferred.

Description: Supervises managers at multiple locations and assist in overall program supervision, administration, fiscal management and daily operations of the Little Learners Early Education Program.

Location: Norwich, CT

Site Manager

Pay/Hours: starting minimum $16.71/hr; 35 hrs/wk

Qualifications: • B.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field plus four years related work experience in an approved program and three of which were administrative and supervisory in nature.• Must have reliable, insured transportation.• Provide current physical (less than 2 years) and negative TB test results (less than 6 months) before or upon hire.

Description: The Site Manager is responsible for coordinating and administrating the overall operations of the TVCCA Early Childhood Center and supervision of the receptionist and the Nutrition Site Server/Coordinator in that center. Ensure a safe environment for children and staff. Learn, implement and ensure center and staff are in compliance with State of CT licensing codes, Head Start Performance Standards, funding requirements, federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and NAEYC standards. Work cooperatively with Head Teachers to ensure center schedules and adequate staffing meet DPH licensing standards. Responsible for all required administrative paperwork for the center. Must have compassion and understanding of needs of children and families from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds.
