Description: Supervision of homeless facility while providing support and· encouragement to homeless families in residence. Responsible for maintaining the safety ofthe shelter and residents during shift. Responsible for maintenance activities. Responsible formonitoring the entrance to the shelter, greeting residents and completing intake informationwhen necessary. Must be able to provide support and understanding to families in crisis.Responsible for record keeping for the Child and Adult Care Food Program. Must learn theResults Oriented Management Accountability (R.O.M.A.) and Human Services Infrastructure(H.S.I.) Systems. TVCCA operates under these two management principals and allemployees must understand and adopt them.

Description: This position, Recruiter/Program Support, is responsible for the recruitment, training and placement of individuals to provide companionship and support person to person services to frail and developmentally challenged individuals throughout New London County for the Senior Companion Program. The Recruiter is responsible for providing meaningful volunteer opportunities, processing referrals for in home companion and support services and placement in the IHS Program. The Recruiter/Program Support position is responsible for handling public relations initiatives in the region, and maintaining positive matches between the volunteers and participants. Responsible to process monthly billing for the Individual Habilitative Services (IHS) Program Consumer Service Hours and for providing administrative and clerical support for the program. Must have an understanding of and compassion for the needs of older volunteers and individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds. The Recruiter/Program Support shall learn, implement, and follow all program policies and procedures and act as a liaison between volunteers, station staff, participants, and administration.

Qualifications: ***Transcripts must be provided with resume/application to be considered for this position.*** Associates in ECE or related field or Bachelor's degree with 12 credits in ECE plus three years experience in a licensed facility. Have the credentials to obtain a Connecticut Head Teacher License from the Department of Public Health. Must have reliable, insured transportation. Have or obtain and maintain first-aid, CPR, and medication administration certification within six months of hire. Provide a medical statement signed by a physician, advanced practice registered nurse or physician’s assistant, including a written report of negative tuberculin test. Be able to work 35 hours/week, 40 weeks/year depending on program.

Learn, implement and ensure center and staff are in compliance with State of CT licensing codes, funding requirements, federal,state, and local laws and regulations, and NAEYC standards. Responsible for administrating the overall operations of the Head Start Center and supervision of Head Start children and staff. Responsible for all required administrative paperwork for the center.
