TVCCA Head Start Receives Grant

U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney announced on Saturday, November 21, that TVCCA Head Start will receive $368,102 to fund an Early Head Start program. The federal grant is funded through the Department of Health and Human Services(HHS) Early Head Start Program with money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. "This additional funding comes at a critical time across eastern Connecticut and will make a significant impact on the success of Head Start", Courtney said in a prepared statement. The grant will fund forty(40) infant and toddlers in a year round homebase program throughout New London County.
