Norwich Worship Center Sends Army of Volunteers to Help Senior Nutrition Program and TVCCA Commissary

On Sunday, August 14th, 2011, 30 volunteers from the Norwich Worship Center’s R.E.A.C.H. program are coming to the Commissary/ Senior Nutrition Office in Bozrah to do a little make over! Project R.E.A.C.H puts out a call twice a year for volunteers who are interested in doing service work. The TVCCA Commissary/Senior Nutrition program (SNP) was selected for their August project.

An impressive 200 community volunteers have been organized for this one day event. They will be taking on a number of tasks including painting the Commissary kitchen, cleaning and detailing nine Commissary and SNP vehicles, packaging a variety of food items including bread, milk, margarine, and fruit cups for the Meals on Wheels program, and landscaping the front corner of building. Volunteers will begin around 9:30am and expect to finish up around 5:30pm.

We are very excited to have these local heroes come out to give us a hand. Thank you for all your support, volunteers!
