The Community Life Skills Program (CLSP) assists youth ages 16 to 21 years old and in the care of the State Department of Children and Families towards a successful transition into society through exposure to intensive classroom instruction, life skills-building exercises, positive social situations, and appropriate role models.

CLSP stresses the importance of high self esteem, believing that the youth who views himself/herself as a valuable, unique individual of high worth will take the time to make the best possible decisions for himself/herself when faced with the multitude of choices life offers.

Upon completion of participation in the project, youths are provided with a generous stipend to reward the hard work they have voluntarily undertaken towards self improvement and discovery.
