WIA Adult and Dislocated Worker Programs
WIA is a federally funded employment and training program designed to assist customers with navigating their job search and re-employment needs. Customers work with a Workforce Advisor within the CTWorks centers. The Workforce Advisors may also assist customers with identifying and resolving barriers to employment as well assessing their job search/career path needs. The opportunity to apply for funding towards an approved training program is also available. WIA programs are locally sponsored by the Easter Connecticut Workforce Investment Board.
