Tax Preparation Assistance/Earned Income Tax Credit (VITA)

TVCCA provides free tax preparation services for low to moderate income families and individuals. IRS trained volunteers prepare and e-file personal income taxes at no charge to the taxpayer. The program runs from February until mid-April (last possible day would be April 15th). Please contact our office during tax season for schedule and documentation required.

TVCCA VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) offers:

  • FREE Tax Preparation
  • FAST Electronically e-filed Tax Return
  • IRS Trained and Certified Volunteer Tax Preparers

Income Limit: $50,000
NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED: Walk-ins only

Things to bring with you:

  • Valid Picture Identification
  • Social Security Cards for all household members
  • All Income Forms, W-2, 1099s & 1098s
  • Proof of all other income
  • If you would like your refund direct deposited, please bring a voided check
  • If claiming daycare or elder care expenses, please have the amount paid and the caregiver's name, address and social security or business tax ID number
  • If itemizing, proof of all deductible expenses
  • If available, (but not necessary) bring:
    • Copy of last year's Federal and State Return
    • Current year's Tax Package
