TVCCA/DOE Weatherization Assistance services are available to all S.E. Connecticut households with incomes falling below 60% of state median income. Priority is given to vulnerable households including elderly, disabled, households with children under the age of 6 years old, and high energy users.
State certified Energy Auditors utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment and computerized energy audit software identify cost effective energy conservation measures in single, multi-family, and mobile homes. Cost-effective weatherization measures and those that are essential for health and safety are then performed, including, but not limited to, installation of insulation, furnace and boiler retrofits, windows, caulking, weather-stripping, and installation of CFL lighting and low flow aerators.
Additional information is available at the time of Energy Assistance intake or by calling 425-6577.Assistant Director: Lee Carenza
