The TVCCA Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) is designed to assist residents of New London and Windham Counties to either stay in their housing or to be re-housed quickly after losing housing. TVCCA serves as the lead agency in a 10 partner collaborative which includes, The ACCESS Agency, WRCC, Windham No Freeze Shelter, Holy Family Shelter, The Homeless Hospitality Center New London, Thames River Community Service, Mystic Area Shelter and Hospitality (MASH, Catholic Charities, and Connecticut Legal Services.
The funding for HPRP is part of the recovery money made available through the economic stimulus dollars. It is available for singles and families at or below 50% of the area median income. Households may be assisted with back rent, utility bills, moving expenses, storage expenses, first month’s rent, security deposits and utility deposits. You may also contact any of our collaborative partners. In addition, INFOLine 211 has hired specially trained housing operators to pre-screen you for HPRP services.
