TVCCA provides individualized services to those persons referred to the JOBS FIRST program by the Department of Social Services. JOBS FIRST services include an initial assessment, orientation to the DSS welfare reform initiative, pre-employment workshops, employment-related case management, job development, help with job search techniques, placement and tracking to verify job retention. Documentation is collected and reported to facilitate child care and transportation assistance provided to participants. Referrals can be made to various services, including Head Start, Early Care and Education, WIC and Comprehensive Neighborhood Services, to help alleviate barriers to success.
