Senior Nutrition Program (SNP)

The Senior Nutrition Program serves all persons sixty (60) years and older and their spouses who reside in New London County, Windham County and parts of Tolland County. The program provides a daily hot lunch meal at the Senior Community Cafes located within Senior Centers throughout our service area Monday through Friday. Meals on Wheels is available on a referral basis by the Visiting Nurse, Hospital, family, friends and clients themselves. Meals are delivered to the home Monday through Friday with frozen meals provided for weekends.* Meals provided are nutritionally balanced and are within the guidelines of a no-added-salt and no-added-sugar diet. The suggested donation range is $2.00 -$2.50 per meal and is set by the Program Council. *A second meal, a cold supper, may also be available.
