Individual Habilitative Services (IHS)

The IHS Program assists isolated adults who face mental, emotional, and physical limitations by offering compassion and companionship. Life Skills Instructors, Aides, and Senior Companions provide consumers with the security and support they need to enjoy lives filled with friendship and hope.

In the DMR-funded IHS Program, services include group outings that enable clients to experience a variety of interesting and stimulating activities with the security of staff to consumer ratio of 1.5 to 1.

Also available are companion services for those living in convalescent care facilities or individuals unable to go into the community and individual outing services with highly-trained instructors who create safe and stimulating consumer-driven life enhancement plans.

The IHS Program serves New London County.
